GPrep wins to take fourth at state

The Associated Press
TACOMA — David Stockton had 22 points, seven coming into overtime, as Gonzaga Prep defeated Inglemoor, 72-64, to take fourth place in the Class 4A boys tournament on Saturday. A 3-pointer from Adam McElwee with a minute left in the extra session brought Inglemoor back within two. A free throw from Travis Long gave GP a three-point lead. McElwee would miss a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession, forcing Inglemoor to foul. Stockton, the son of former NBA star John Stockton, would hit a pair of free throws with 29 seconds to play to stretch the lead five points. An intentional foul led to another free throw and a layup by Stockton to close out the game. McElwee led the way for Inglemoor with 18 points. Inglemoor forced overtime on Todd Campbell’s tip-in with 5 seconds left in regulation tying the game at 57. Sean Fischer scored 21 points and Ryan Nicholas added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Gonzaga Prep. Campbell had 15 points and 12 rebounds.
