Spokane in brief: Learn about U.S. naturalization

RIVERSIDE – The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Spokane field office will host a naturalization informational session Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Thomas S. Foley U.S. Courthouse, 920 W. Riverside Ave., Room 116.

The public is invited to attend. Topics in the session includes the naturalization process and provide information about eligibility and residency requirements, application forms, fees, the background security check and processing times.

Paint-a-Helmet Saturday for kids

FAIRGROUNDS – Area Kiwanis Clubs, Circle K and Key Clubs will present the annual Paint-a-Helmet giveaway Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Spokane County Fairgrounds in building C, 404 N. Havana St.

Approximately 500 bicycle helmets will be fitted and decorated by the children receiving them.
