The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., will present its annual Spring Teriyaki Lunch and Food Bazaar Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteer opportunities

Catholic Charities Spokane will host a volunteer information coffee Tuesday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at its Family Services Center, 12 E. Fifth Ave. Snacks and tours of the facility will be offered.

The meeting will provide information about volunteering at its many charitable organizations which include Bernadette Place, Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Relief Services, Childbirth and Parenting Alone Program, the Christmas Bureau, counseling services, House of Charity, Parish Social Ministry, Refugee and Immigration Services, the regional offices, Respect Life, St. Anne’s Children and Family Center, St. Margaret’s Shelter, Senior and Family Housing and Senior Services.

Open house Saturday

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 5806 S. Meadowlane Road, will hold an open house Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. to celebrate its new church building. St. John’s had been in downtown Spokane for almost 110 years before it moved to the Latah Valley in 2008.

A dedication ceremony and worship service will be Sunday at 4 p.m. A reception will follow the service.
