Man booked on DUI after 2 hurt in crash

A man allegedly driving drunk injured two others in a car crash in Spokane Valley around noon Wednesday. Sherroll G. Hooper, 52, was westbound on Pines Road when he crossed the median and struck a second vehicle, driven by David D. Daul, 54, according to Washington State Patrol. Hooper’s vehicle rolled and slammed into a vehicle driven by Harry E. Larrison, 71. Hooper was charged with driving under the influence and vehicular assault. He was treated at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and booked into jail upon release, WSP reported. Daul was in satisfactory condition Wednesday night at Sacred Heart. Larrison refused medical aid and drove his vehicle away from the scene, WSP said.
