Idaho Vandals
RECORD: 11-12 overall, 3-8 WAC
COMING UP: Saturday at Fresno State, 7 p.m.
OUTLOOK: After a puzzling stretch of poor play, the Vandals have started to click on offense and display more defensive consistency – something that was lacking during a six-game losing streak in January. UI drubbed Boise State by 24 points on the road last week and is seeking a second win over Fresno State on Saturday. “We played about as well as we could play in the first 20, 25 minutes of that game offensively, defensively and on the boards,” coach Don Verlin said of the BSU game. FSU (12-12, 5-5) has lost five of seven in the WAC and is 2-2 without standout sophomore Paul George (ankle). He’s expected to play tonight against New Mexico State, according to the Fresno Bee.
