Three Spokane city golf courses are expected to open for play this week after a mild January and February have allowed for suitable turf conditions, city officials said. Downriver and the Creek at Qualchan golf courses are set to open Wednesday while Esmeralda is planning to open Friday. Indian Canyon Golf Course will open later. Tee times can be scheduled starting Tuesday by calling Downriver at (509) 327-5269, Esmeralda at (509) 487-6291 and Qualchan at (509) 448-9317.
