A postal worker delivering mail Tuesday was injured, as were two other people, when a car slammed into the back of his postal truck in Sandpoint, the Idaho State Police reported. Robert W. Easton, 65, was eastbound in the 11000 block of Pine Street in a Postal Service vehicle when he stopped to deliver mail on the right shoulder. A 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by Jeffrey L. Buckius, 27, also eastbound on Pine, struck the postal truck, causing it to spin and overturn, ISP said. Buckius, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Bonner General Hospital, as were passenger Kimberly C. Yoshida, 20, and two children. None were seriously injured. Easton was also transported there for minor injuries, ISP said.
