Coeur d’Alene officers treated for inhalation

Four Coeur d’Alene police officers who responded to an apartment fire late Saturday at 3016 Government Way were later treated for smoke inhalation.

Officers first assisted to safety the disabled woman who lived in the burning apartment, as well as several other residents in the same building.

The four officers were treated and released from Kootenai Medical Center. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
