Kootenai County emergency crews had their hands full Monday night when a vehicle with six occupants rolled north of Post Falls and ejected three of the people, the sheriff’s office said. The SUV involved in the accident was headed south on North Idaho Road near Hayden Avenue when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle into a field on the west side of the roadway about 7 p.m. The sheriff’s office did not identify the persons involved. Crews from Kootenai County Fire and Rescue and fire departments for Northern Lakes, Hauser and Spirit Lake converged on the scene to treat and transport five injured persons to Kootenai Medical Center. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening, the sheriff’s office said Monday night. The crash was under investigation today with additional details pending, the sheriff’s office said.
