Prep football: Dayton reaches regionals

POMEROY – Having already defeated Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia in double overtime, Dayton (3-7) kept right on winning, defeating Tri-Cities Prep (3-6) 8-6 to advance to regionals in their District 9 Southeast 2B tiebreaker Tuesday in Pomeroy.

The Bulldogs advance to play Northeast 2B No. 1 Colfax at 7 p.m. Friday in Colfax. TCP will host Liberty in a nonplayoff crossover in Richland.

Dayton 16, Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia 9: The Bulldogs defeated the Nighthawks (3-6) in double overtime in Pomeroy. Losing in the first round of the tiebreaker, the Nighthawks will play Kettle Falls in their nonplayoff crossover game at 7 p.m. Friday in KF.
