Liberty Lake boy conscious after three-story fall

A 2-year-old boy was airlifted to a Spokane-area hospital on Monday evening after falling out a third-story window in an apartment building at Liberty Lake. Medical crews and police responded to Big Trout Lodge on East Country Vista Drive and found the boy conscious and alert after striking the ground, police said. He was taken by Med Star as a precaution against internal injuries, KHQ reported. The boy’s father told officers that he left the room where the boy was and heard a window screen fall away. He then discovered that his son had fallen.
