Cougars dropped ball on fair punishment

Let me make sure I understand.

A Brigham Young University basketball player violates the honor code through a “legal law” violation and is suspended for the rest of the year.

A Washington State University player violates the conduct code via an “illegal law” violation (the second Cougars player this year) and is given a one-game suspension.

What a great example for incoming recruits and the youth of Washington. Ethics, morals, laws and agreements are no big deal. Violate the law and it is OK. After all, it is the Pac-10 tournament. Way to Coug it.
