University took control in the second quarter and held on late to beat Richland 44-40 in a nonleague girls basketball game Saturday night in Richland.

Emma Kennedy made two free throws in the final seconds to seal the deal for the Titans (5-3). Kaitlin Pannell scored a team-high nine points for University.

Archbishop Murphy tourney

Post Falls 57, Shorewood Christian 39: Hallie Gennett scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to guide the Trojans (13-0) past Shorewood Christian in Everett. Post Falls will play Archbishop Murphy today in the title game.

Lewiston tournament

Lewiston 67, Colfax 45: The Bengals (11-2) opened the game on a 9-2 run and coasted past the Bulldogs (8-2) at Lewiston. Emile Schlader scored 15 points for Lewiston. Colfax was led by Nicole Sheer and Taylor Larsen, who scored 13 points each.

Freeman tournament

Freeman 67, Pullman 59: Alisha Sorensen made three 3-pointers and finished with 26 points and three assists as the Scotties (9-0) beat the Greyhounds (4-4) in the championship game. Katie Vold had 13 points and Sierra McGarity added eight points and nine boards for Freeman, which outscored Pullman 25-10 in the second quarter to take control.

West Valley tournament

Bonners Ferry 50, West Valley 44: Savannah Woods scored 13 points and Aubree Wasmer added 12 as the Badgers (8-1) edged the Eagles (4-4) in the title game at West Valley. Erin Higbie scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for West Valley.

Medical Lake 29, Timberlake 21: The Cardinals (5-5) held the Tigers (2-9) scoreless in the third quarter and cruised to a third-place finish. Kelby Wegner had six points, seven rebounds and three steals for Medical Lake.

Juanita tournament

Lake City 50, Kamiak 34: Amber Hawkes led a balanced attack with 12 points as the Timberwolves (8-5) beat the Knights.

Reardan tournament

Reardan 67, Chewelah 36: Kelsey Moos scored 24 points and Chantel Heath added 18 as the Indians (10-1) dominated the Cougars (4-5) from start to finish and claimed the title. Kaitlin Krouse had a team-high 13 points for Chewelah.

Columbia 40, Almira/Coulee-Hartline 37: Elizabeth Larrew and Kaitlin Jones each hit a pair of free throws in the final minute to help the Lions (5-5) edge the Warriors (5-5) in the consolation game. Larrew finished with 19 points and Jones added 12. ACH was led by Karlee Martin’s 15 points.

Rosalia tournament

Wilbur-Creston 46, Rosalia 31: Jessica Boyer led three players in double figures with 16 points and the Wildcats (7-2) beat the Spartans (6-3) in the title game at Rosalia. McKenzie Reddish led Rosalia with 17 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

Walla Walla tournament

DeSales 66, Valley Christian 14: The Irish dominated from the get-go and routed the Panthers (0-7) in Walla Walla. Lindy Riggan scored 10 points for Valley Christian.

Chelan tournament

Lakeside (WA) 58, Life Christian 20: Ashley Cook-Cox had 13 points and six steals and Jocelyn Cook-Cox added 10 points and nine rebounds to guide the Eagles (7-2) to a rout of Life Christian at Chelan.

Tekoa-Oakesdale 51, Pomeroy 32: Kimberly Groom made four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to guide the Nighthawks (7-1, 4-1) past the visiting Pirates (1-6, 0-6).

Gonzaga Prep 66, Seattle Prep 41: Hannah Caudill scored 17 points and Laura Stockton added 15 points and six assists as the Bullpups (8-0) routed the visiting Panthers.

Mt. Spokane 64, Hanford 50: Brooke Reilly had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Alyssa Lloyd added 14 points and 10 boards as the Wildcats (5-3) beat the visiting Falcons. Mt. Spokane outscored Hanford 21-8 in the first quarter.

Cheney 56, Riverside 46: Chae Brown led three players in double figures with 19 points and added eight steals as the Blackhawks (2-4) beat the visiting Rams (6-3). Coreen Labish had 13 points and 13 rebounds and Darien Brophy chipped in 14 points and nine boards for Cheney.

Kamiah 43, Colton 34: Shelby Cloninger scored 13 points and the hosts Kubs ended the Wildcats’ 37-game winning streak. Jenna Moser tallied a team-high 11 points for Colton (7-1).

St. John-Endicott 52, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 48: Emily Van Lith scored a game-high 22 points and the Eagles (6-1) held on to beat the host Broncos (4-5). Dalyn Killian tallied 14 points and Jenna Bennett and Mallory Kessler added 10 apiece for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.
