WAC honors Idaho’s Kiser, Klas

University of Idaho track and field athletes Hannah Kiser and Jeremy Klas received Western Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 6-12.

Kiser won the women’s award – the second of her career. She broke the conference record and the Vandals’ school record in the 3,000-meter run at the Husky Classic on Saturday. Klas was the men’s recipient after breaking the Idaho school record in the pole vault at the same event.

Junior hockey

Brycen Fisher scored 25 seconds into overtime to give the Spokane Braves (20-26-1-2) a 6-5 win over the Grand Forks Border Bruins (1-47-0-2) in a Kootenay International Junior Hockey League game in Grand Forks, B.C.
