Bulmer’s hat trick too much for Chiefs as Rockets beat Spokane

KELOWNA, B.C. – The Spokane Chiefs had their fill of Brett Bulmer on Wednesday night.

The Kelowna left winger broke open a close game with three straight goals in the second period and the Rockets went on to post a 5-2 victory in Western Hockey League play.

Bulmer’s hat trick came with Kelowna (15-19-2-3) leading 2-1 early in the second. His first tally came at the 6:26 mark.

His second goal was delivered at 10:16 and the final one – his 17th of the season – came a little more than 5 minutes later with the Rockets on a power play.

The Chiefs (17-13-2-3) got a first-period goal from Jason Fram – his fourth of the season – and a third-period goal from Darren Kramer, his 13th of the season.

Spokane will play at home for the first time since Dec. 17 when it hosts Moose Jaw on Friday.
