Downtown bank robbed, suspect in custody

Spokane police arrested a man for robbing a downtown Spokane bank this evening. Donnie Snow, 45, was booked into Spokane County Jail for first-degree robbery. Police responded to Banner Bank at 508 W. 3rd Avenue about 5:23 p.m. within minutes of the call and started looking for the suspect, who fled the bank with an undisclosed amount cash, said Officer Alexis Kester, a Spokane Police Department spokeswoman. Witnesses gave a description of the robber and police found Snow, who matched the description, near the Trade Wind Motel at 3rd Avenue and Lincoln Street, she said. When officers approached Snow, he put his hands in the air and said “I did it” while holding cash in his hands, Kester said. He was positively identified by witnesses inside the bank.
