Wynne guides CCS past Yakima Valley

Preston Wynne scored 21 of his game-high 26 points in Community Colleges of Spokane’s dominating first half as the Sasquatch eased past Yakima Valley 91-72 in an NWAACC men’s basketball game Saturday at Spokane Community College.

Wynne made six 3-pointers in a first half that saw CCS take a 53-27 lead. He finished with seven 3s for the game.

Brady Bagby had 19 points and Tyler Edwards chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Sasquatch (13-3, 2-1). Dabrail Henton led Yakima Valley (9-6, 2-1) with 19 points.

CCS plays at conference foe Treasure Valley on Friday.

• Keon Lewis had 18 points and six assists as North Idaho (17-1, 3-0) edged Southern Idaho (16-2, 2-1) 75-71 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play in Coeur d’Alene.
