Coming up: Eastern Washington Eagles

RECORD: 9-11 overall, 3-4 Big Sky

COMING UP: Tonight vs. Montana (SWX), 6; Saturday vs. Montana State, 6 p.m.

OUTLOOK: It always the little things, like calling a timeout you don’t have, or not finishing a three-point play by making the free throws. Failing in those chores has cost the Eagles two straight heartbreakers in conference play (71-70 at Northern Colorado and 78-76 in OT against Portland State). The big picture is the Eagles could be 5-2 in the conference instead of 3-4, but they could turn that ship around with a win over second-place Montana (13-6, 6-1), which leads the conference in scoring margin at plus-14 and has won eight of its last nine games. On Saturday, Montana State will be looking to avenge an 88-62 defeat last month in Bozeman.
