Edith Margaret Dickey of Springfield, OR, formerly of Spokane, passed away in her sleep at home due to age related causes.

She was 98 years old.
Edith was born in La Grande, OR, to Victor and Bessie (Gekeler) Ragain.

She married Orville Dickey on September 7, 1937, and they celebrated their 60th anniversary before his passing in 1998.

They had two children, Darryl Dickey and Darla Torrisi, both residing in Springfield, OR.
Edith graduated from Eastern Oregon Normal School and taught school in a one-room schoolhouse before her marriage.

She went back to work at the Bon Marche in Spokane for 20 years after her children were in high school.

Survivors include her two children, four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Keith, Kenneth, and Kermit Ragain predeceased her.
