BECK,
Florence
“Flo” (Age 83)

Florence rejoined her beloved husband Lewis Beck on Friday July 20 after her courageous battle with cancer.

She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Florence or “Flo” was the second oldest of six children.

She was born on August 14th, 1928 in Havre, Montana.

Her four brothers Sid, George, John, Ken, and sister Margaret were blessed to be the cherished children of the most loving parents John and Rose Tietema.
Florence moved to Spokane in the early 50’s where she attended Kinman Business School.

While in Spokane she met and later married basketball great Lewis William Beck who was from Oregon State and coached by Slats Gill.

Florence loved basketball and was very proud of her husband Lewis’s achievements in the sport which included being named “All American” and Olympic team captain in the last London Olympics in 1948.
Florence and Lew moved to Montana and raised their four children in Great Falls, Montana.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, her brother George, brother John, grandson Brian, and parents John and Rose.

She is survived by her son Jeff Beck of Great Falls, Mt, daughters Janice Turner and Robin Doval from Spokane, daughter Lori Montgomery from Reno, Nev. She has six grand- children, three son-in-laws, three sister-in-laws, one great-grand- daughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

For Florence, “family is everything.”

A special Thank You to all the “Angels” who cared for Flo during her illness at Fairview assisted living facility.

She felt blessed for everything everyone did to keep her comfortable.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday the 29th at Fairview Assisted Living Facility in Spokane at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any Hospice agency that provides end of life care for our loved ones.
