Edith was born on May 23, 1923, in Juntura, Oregon, to W.P.

and Edith Allen.

She attended Oregon State University and Eastern Washington University.

She retired from West Valley School District as an elementary education teacher.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Smith and son, Craig Smith.

Edith is survived by her son, Steven (Linda) Smith of Greenacres, WA; grandchildren Ted (Kelli) Smith of Bonners Ferry, ID, Amanda (Randy) Treadwell of Spokane Valley, WA; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Samuel, Savannah, and Lucas Smith, all of Bonners Ferry, ID.
The family would like to express their thanks to Jan, Karen and the staff at Brighton Court.
