Obituary: Dwinnell, Nota F.

DWINNELL, Nota F.

Was the third of six children born to Lovie and Eber Vice.

She was born on August 4, 1914, in Moores Bridge, Alabama.

In 1939, she married Leonard, her husband of 54 years.

They met on a blind date during his second year of medical school at the University of Alabama.

After completing his orthopedic training at the Mayo Clinic, they moved to Spokane in 1953 with their daughter, Bobbi.

Nota was an avid golfer, who started the ladies golf group at Indian Canyon in the mid 50’s and was later actively involved with the ladies golf group at the Spokane Country Club.

However, her greatest passion in life was her family.

She will always be remembered for her incredible devotion to them, sacrificially giving of her time and energy and faithfully attending every school and sports event.

Locally, she is survived by her daughter, Bobbi; two granddaughters, Katie Romine Damon and Lindsay Romine Dunham; and two great-granddaughters, Hayley Damon and Ava Dunham.

We will miss you mom, grams, and gran-gran, but know you are so happy to be in heaven with dad and Sara.

Private arrangements entrusted to Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe, Spokane.
