Here’s the Dirt: Select Comfort relocates

Select Comfort relocates

Select Comfort, which sells mattresses under the Select Number brand, is relocating from the Spokane Valley Mall to a new building nearby at Evergreen Crossing, 13920 E. Indiana Ave.

The move allows the company more space and keeps its location in the Valley Mall area, said Kiemle & Hagood agent Carl Guenzel. Guenzel represented both Select Comfort and Hanson Industries, which is the property and building owner.

Select Comfort will take about 3,400 square feet in the building, expected to open in November. Yost Mooney and Pugh is the general contractor for the construction, expected to cost about $800,000.

Print distributor consolidates

Safeguard Northwest, a print distributorship, has relocated from three Spokane locations into new offices at 122 E. Montgomery Ave.

The company is leasing 3,000 square feet of office and roughly 1,000 square feet of warehouse space. The business has 12 Spokane employees.

The building is the former home of National Music and behind Williams Seafood at Ruby and Montgomery.

Mike Schmitz of SDS Realty was listing agent and building owner.  Bob Travis with Windermere represented Safeguard.

CdA senior center renamed

The Fairwinds Coeur d’Alene retirement and assisted living community has been renamed North Start Community Center. The name change coincides with the center’s acquisition by Stellar Senior Living.

Stellar takes over the 130-unit retirement center, off Seltice Road, from Lytle Enterprises, the previous facility owner. Seattle-based Lytle Enterprises included Fairwinds in a group of facilities it sold to Utah-based Stellar Senior Living earlier this year. The other three were in Idaho, Colorado and Kent, Wash.

Stellar Senior Living has said the center will be operated the same as it has been.
