Junior catcher Ryan Wiggins hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning and Jayce Ray followed with a two-run double Wednesday as the Washington Huskies (13-26) completed a two-game sweep over the 21st-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs with an 11-8 nonconference win at Patterson Baseball Complex.

Wiggins’ one-out homer to left field off Taylor Jones (1-1) came after Michael Camporeale led off with an infield single and was replaced by pinch runner Erik Forgione, who stole second base.

Ray’s one-out double to left scored Joe Meggs and pinch hitter Brian Wolfe.

Gonzaga (26-13-1) led 8-6 after Clayton Eslick tripled in a run with two outs in the seventh and scored on Cabe Reiten’s single.

Freshmen Reiten and Caleb Wood both had their first career homers for the Bulldogs. Wood’s two-run homer to left highlighted a three-run first. Reiten hit a solo homer to left in the second.

The Bulldogs have lost three consecutive games after an 11-game winning streak.

• Ryan Atkinson homered in both games as Columbia Basin (18-16, 10-8 NWAACC) swept Community Colleges of Spokane 7-1, 9-2 at Spokane Falls CC.

Chad Bettinson won the opener, allowing five hits and no earned runs while striking out seven. Atkinson hit a two-run homer in the third and Braden Wolgamott hit a three-run homer in the eighth.

Austin Bartleson doubled in CCS’ run in the fourth.

Atkinson’s three-run homer in the sixth gave the Hawks a 6-0 lead in the second game.

Eli Driessen had an RBI single in the sixth for the Sasquatch (19-15, 10-8).

Men’s tennis

Gonzaga, seeded ninth, ended its season with a 4-0 loss to the fourth-seeded Santa Clara Broncos at the West Coast Conference Championships at San Diego.

The Bulldogs finished the spring season 7-15.

Seniors Levin Guillermo and Olivier Jamin completed their GU careers.

Women’s tennis

Gonzaga’s season ended with a 4-0 loss to fourth-seeded San Diego at the West Coast Conference Championships at San Diego.

The ninth-seeded Bulldogs finished their spring season 9-13. Seniors Britta Stime (Mead High), Taurie Bjerken and Prue Teitzel ended their GU careers.

Women’s golf

Washington State finished in last place at the 11-team Pac-12 Championships at Valencia (Calif.) Country Club.

The Cougars shot a final-round 313 for a three-day total of 942.

Junior Mallory Kent led WSU, shooting a 6-under 66, the best round of the day, to finish tied for 18th at 6-over 222.

Southern California shot a final-round 282 to finish at 11-under 853, 24 shots better than runner-up Washington. USC’s Annie Park shot a final-round 69 to win medalist honors at 209, two shots better than teammate Sophia Popov.

• Idaho junior Rachel Choi shot a final-round 2-under 70 to finish in fourth place at 5-over 221 at the Western Athletic Conference Championships at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.

Choi finished 12 strokes behind medalist Tonje Daffinrud of Denver, who closed with a 69. Vandals sophomore Leilanie Kim placed 11th at 226.

Idaho placed fifth in the seven-team field at 908, 26 shots behind champion Denver and four shots behind third-place Texas State.
