Brush fire near Cheney threatening buildings

Firefighters are on the scene of a 50-acre brush fire near Cheney that’s threatening five homes, according to KHQ. The fire started in the 2200 block of West Depot Springs Road, off the Cheney/Spangle Road. Crews are working on the ground and in the air to fight the fire. Windy, dry conditions are hampering their efforts to get the fire under control, KHQ says.
