Pot on arrow shot onto jail

Associated Press

BELLINGHAM – Officials say a man shot an arrow wrapped with a plastic bag of marijuana onto the roof of the Whatcom County Jail.

The Bellingham Herald reported that he later told deputies he had been aiming at a squirrel.

A sheriff’s office employee reported seeing the man step out of his pickup truck with a bow and arrow Tuesday morning and fire it toward the jail second-floor recreation area. Sheriff Bill Elfo said the man identified as 36-year-old David Wayne Jordan was arrested Tuesday.
