Coming up: Eastern Washington Eagles

COMING UP: Tonight vs. Montana State., 6; Saturday vs. Montana, 6 p.m.

OUTLOOK: It’s halftime in the Big Sky Conference, but Eastern Washington is less than halfway to a berth in the seven-team postseason tournament. Standing at 3-7 and in a four-way tie for eighth place, the Eagles likely must win four or five of their final 10 games to make the field – head coach Jim Hayford’s stated benchmark for success. Eastern would get a big boost in that direction with a win tonight at Reese Court against third-place Montana State, which edged the Eagles 70-68 earlier this month in Bozeman. On Saturday, the Eagles get a visit from league-leader Montana.
