Flying farmer spots his stolen truck

Staff report
One man has been arrested after a Grant County farmer flying his private plane spotted a truck and two trailers that had been stolen from his farm last week. Kevin Weber of Weber Farms near Quincy was flying over the Grand Coulee area on Saturday when he saw the truck and trailer that had been missing since Thursday, a Grant County sheriff’s news release said. Weber had offered $2,500 for information leading to the equipment’s return and conviction of the thief. After spotting the equipment, Weber contacted Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies, who located the truck and trailer as well as another trailer from Weber’s farm. Grant County deputies assisted in the search. Kevin Heeb, 30, of Grand Coulee, was arrested on theft charges.
