Obituary: Stratford, Mildred E. “Nan”

STRATFORD, Mildred E. “Nan” (Age 94) Born in Ryegate, MT, to Garfield and Louise Denzer on August 11, 1918 and passed away on June 5, 2013.

She graduated from Bozeman High in 1936 and married Clarence Stratford in 1939.

She is preceded in death by her three brothers and four sisters and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Merl) Wells and their children, Stef Wells, Kristin (Brad) Perkins, Todd Allison and Steve Wells, and her second daughter, Candace Shipley and her children, Travis Shipley and Ryan (Heather) Shipley.

She had 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Nan and her sisters ran a beauty shop on 9th and Perry and later owned Nan’s Beauty Salon for several years.

She was a member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church.

Graveside services on June 17, 2013 at 11:00 at Riverside Memorial Park in the Garden of Peace.
