“An Agnostic Poker Player’s Prayer of Passing”

Kelly Schulz
Dear Lord, If you really are up there then you know this is it for me. You also know I have enjoyed a good game of poker more than a time or two. I’ve won some and lost some, but in the game of life I’ve always tried to play the winning hand, the final hand that says you’re up there. Well, almost always. I stopped my pick-up lots of times so the helpless little critters on the road could make their way. If you’re really up there, ya seen me do it. I didn’t go to church much, but I’ve been kind. And I know I’ve done some things that haven’t been so good, but if you could forgive me, I’d appreciate it. Because now would be a pretty good time to win that final hand.
