Obituary: Cory, Greg

CORY, Greg (Age 62) Greg was born in St. Maries, Idaho on March 19, 1951 to Wilbur “Red” Cory, who was a pilot in the Air Force and Eileen Gravelle.

He passed away in Sun City West, Arizona on April 28, 2013.

Greg played basketball for Montana State, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

He spent much of his life in Spokane, WA, but moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to watch his daughter play college basketball.

There, he met and married Renita Cory.

He made a living in the financial advising industry.

He is survived by his wife, four kids, five grandchildren, and many close relatives.

According to Greg, “he is also survived by the most incredible friends in the world”.

His hobbies included sports, friends and traveling.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
