Coeur d’Alene police respond to hit and run where vehicle crashed into home

Coeur d’Alene police responded to a hit-and-run Thursday night after a man driving a truck ran into a home. The driver struck the side of a Fifth Street and Hattie Avenue home at 6:15 p.m. then fled on foot, according to a news release. A suspect was later detained. A man, woman and girl were inside and had to be extricated from the home. All three were transported to Kootenai Medical Center. Their condition is unknown. The suspected driver, who was not identified, was found at Government Way and Anton Avenue.
