GRAY, Connie L. (Age 70) Coeur d’Alene resident Connie “Sis” Lou Gray passed away Tuesday morning, November 19th, 2013 with her family by her side.

Connie was born on July 14th, 1943, in Mecca, CA to Cecil and Florence Mills.

She was the fifth born and only daughter of nine children.

Connie married Robert Gray on December 17th, 1960.

She graduated from Coachella Valley High School in Thermal, CA, in 1961.

They had three children, Gregory, James and Michelle.

In 1971 they relocated to Coeur d’Alene, ID.

Connie and Robert divorced after 17 years of marriage.

Connie went to work at Clare Pendar in Post Falls in the late 70s.

In January, 1982, Connie then went to work at Hewlett Packard in Liberty Lake as an Electrical Technician.

She worked there until becoming disabled in 1997.

Connie enjoyed playing Bingo, crafts, sewing, reading, country music in addition to watching football (Redskins) and NASCAR (Jimmie Johnson).

Her faith was important to her and was raised Southern Baptist.

She also attended the Friends Church and valued sharing her faith with friends.

Connie enjoyed her deep friendships with Juanita Freeman, Marcia Gaunt, and Marilyn Traylor.

Thoughts she wished to leave with others would be to remember your friends and love those important to you.

Connie is survived by her sons Greg (Carrie) Gray, Jim (Kristine) Gray, and daughter Michelle (Tim) Larsen.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Justine, Jacob, Colton and Madison.

Connie’s surviving brothers are John (Margo), Sonny (Joanne), Larry (Rhonda), Ronnie (Betty), Tommy (Sandy) and sister-in-law Lois Mills.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Elton and two infant brothers.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at LaCrosse for the care provided to Connie over the last two years in addition to the staff at North Idaho Dialysis, Dr. Foster and Dr. Joshi.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 23rd, 2013, with a viewing at 9:00 am at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel.
