Obituary: Roth, Arliene E. (Hille)

Age 90

ROTH, Arliene E. (Hille) (Age 90) Passed away at the Cheney Care Center on Sunday, September 15, 2013.

She was born on September 11, 1923 in Ritzville, WA , the sixth of seven children of Daniel and Matilda Hille.

Arliene graduated in 1941 from Ritzville High School.

She married Rudy Roth on September 7, 1941 at the Ralston Community Church.

Arliene and Rudy grew up 1/4 mile apart on their family farms.

After marriage, Arliene and Rudy made their home in Ralston in the home her brother Emil (Moose) built.

There, they raised three children.

In 1987, they moved to Ritzville.

Arliene enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, (especially bridge), bowling and watching the Seattle Mariners.

She was a member of the Zion Philadelphia Church and the Ralston Grange.

Arliene was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Rudy.

She is survived by her son Lanny Roth (Cathy) of El Cajon, CA, daughter Cathy Smick (Ken) of Spokane and son Randy Roth (Shirley) of Ralston, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM.

Following the service, those attending are invited to a reception at the home of Randy and Shirley Roth.

The family suggests memorials to the Ralston Grange, PO Box 544, Ritzville, WA 99169, the American Diabetes Association 315 W Mission, Spokane, WA 99201 or the charity of your choice.
