FJ TOYOTA
Jim Gorzelany CTW Features
With a bevy of new models on the way this fall, it’s inevitable some cars are being discontinued to make way for them. Here’s a quick look at several models buyers won’t be seeing for 2015: • Acura ILX Hybrid. This slow-selling compact hybrid gets the axe, though the gasoline versions remain. • Acura TL and TSX. Both models are being replaced by the new TLX sport/luxury sedan. • Chrysler 200 Convertible. A redesigned 2015 version comes only as a fixed-roof four-door. • Dodge Avenger. The racier-looking version of the Chrysler 200 is dropped, though it could return at some point as a sportier rear-drive sedan. • Ford E-Series. A stalwart among tradespeople, and livery/delivery services for decades, Ford’s new Connect van replaces the full-size E-Series for 2015. • Jaguar XK. With buyers instead flocking to the smaller F-Type, Jaguar is retiring the costlier XK sports coupe/convertible. • Toyota FJ Cruiser. Dismal sales are sending this retro-styled truck-based crossover off into the sunset.
