Spokane police investigate fatal shooting at Howard Johnson Inn

Spokane police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a man dead in the parking lot of the Howard Johnson Inn north of downtown. Patrol officers responded just after 12:30 a.m. to the report of a shooting at 3033 N. Division St. They found the man dead in the parking lot of the hotel. The preliminary investigation as to how the involved parties know one another is ongoing. A suspect has not been apprehended. Major Crimes Unit detectives were called to the scene. Officers secured the scene as well as two vehicles believed to be involved in the homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
