EVERETT – Talk about a logjam.

Spokane used four walks in the top of the 10th inning after waiting out a lightning storm in the bottom of the ninth inning to claim a 3-2 victory over the Everett AquaSox and create a four-way tie for first place in the North Division of the Northwest League on Monday night.

Spokane, the first-half division winner, Vancouver, Everett and Tri-City all sport 8-10 records in the second half.

The Indians rallied in the first extra inning against AquaSox reliever Samuel Lindquist.

Jose Trevino led off with a walk and with one out Jose Cardona and Josh Morgan drew free passes to load the bases. Isiah Kiner-Falefa drew the fourth walk of the inning to score Trevino with the winning run.

The Indians jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Eduard Pinto singled to right field to lead off. Pinto moved to second on a failed pickoff attempt. Seth Spivey followed with a walk and Trevino delivered a run-scoring single to left. A one-out sacrifice fly off the bat of Cardona plated Spivey.

The AquaSox halved the lead in the bottom of the second on a solo home run from Corey Simpson off Indians starter Richelson Pena. But that was the only blemish for Pena, who left with a 2-1 lead after six innings. Pena allowed just three hits. He struck out five and walked two and lowered his earned-run average to 3.20.

Everett pulled even in the bottom of the seventh against Indians reliever Chris Dula. The AquaSox used two walks and a two-out RBI single by Jordan Cowan to tie the game.
