Obituary: Braucht, Sandy

Age 53

BRAUCHT, Sandy June 11, 1961- December 5, 2014 Sandy was the only daughter of Dave and Ruby Braucht.

She grew up in the Spokane Valley and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1979.

She attended college at Whitman and then WSU, where she received her BA degree.

Sandy went to work for Koinonia House as an accountant and then became a controller and CPA for the ministry.

Three years ago, she was stricken with multiple myeloma and amyloidosis, a rare secondary disease.

In March, she had a stem cell transplant and defeated the cancer, but never recovered from the treatment.

She loved her dogs, going to the Oregon Coast, and relished a Caribbean cruise just before her transplant!

She’ll be sorely missed by her father, brother, sister-in-law, cousins, friends, former co-workers, and dog.

Memorial Service on Saturday, December 13, 2:00 PM, at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, 99206.
