Snoqualmie, Stevens passes reopen after heavy snow

Associated Press
The Washington state Department of Transportation has reopened both Snoqualmie and Stevens passes over the Cascades after heavy snow forced closures of both routes earlier today. The heavy snow and dangerous driving conditions closed down Interstate 90 and U.S. Highway 2 over the Cascades early. Snoqualmie Pass was bare and wet with slush in places this afternoon as snow continued to fall. A winter storm warning was in effect for the east side of the Cascade crest, and a winter storm watch was posted for the west side. Two feet or more of additional snow are possible in the Cascades by Thursday night.
