Obituary: Vance, Helen

Age 88

VANCE, Helen May 7, 1925- February 18, 2014 Helen Perry Vance passed away on February 18, 2014.

She was born on May 7, 1925 to Clarence and Edna Perry.

Helen graduated from college in Great Falls, Montana, and married Lawrence H. Vance while he was a student at Oregon State College.

They moved to Spokane in 1957 where Helen worked for Fidelity savings and Loan for over 30 years.

Mom was a two-time cancer survivor who enjoyed gardening and loved to travel.

She was also a true animal lover, especially of dogs.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, John.

She is survived by her sons, Tom, Vance and Larry (Marcia) Vance Jr; as well as her granddaughters, Kathy (Brandon) Matsuda and Kris (Tim) Morones; and great-grandchildren, Nicole and Aaron Matsuda.

She leaves behind her beloved miniature Schnauzer, Heidi.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 10:00AM.
