U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was in Spokane Thursday evening to visit federal court employees. Spokane City Council President Ben Stuckart said Holder will be in town only shortly for routine court business. The visit was not announced and appeared to be a surprise even to many local elected leaders. Stuckart only learned of the visit on Thursday. Frank Harrill, supervisory senior resident agent of the Spokane office of the FBI, said Thursday that he could not confirm that Holder is in town. State Rep. Kevin Parker, R-Spokane, sent a message on Twitter Thursday that Holder was at the Davenport Hotel. He included a brief comment: “Interesting.” An SUV with a placard that said “official FBI business” was parked in front of the Davenport Thursday night.
