Spokane Valley man injured in motorcycle crash

From Staff Reports

A Spokane Valley man crashed his motorcycle in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest just after noon Saturday and may have broken his leg, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

Justin Yapp, 25, was on Forest Service Road 438 when he ran off the road and hit a tree, deputies said. He was taken to Kootenai Health by a Life Flight helicopter. Yapp was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor, according to deputies. Yapp’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Kootenai County Fire and Rescue and Coeur d’Alene Fire assisted with the call.
