HATHAWAY, Dorothy Ann July 11, 1923 - April 10, 2015 Mother’s Day will be a little empty this year with the passing of the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy Hathaway.

Dorothy passed away April 10, 2015 after suffering a stroke in March.

She was born on July 11, 1923; the youngest of Charles and Frances Lohnes’ three daughters.

Dorothy was a beautiful seamstress and loved journaling and building and furnishing miniature dollhouses.

Her miniature farmhouse was featured in The Spokesman-Review in the 1970’s.

She enjoyed bowling at Silver Lanes for many years.

Dorothy spoke fondly of her childhood memories, especially time spent at her family’s summer home at Diamond Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Frances Lohnes, sisters Carol Raivo and Jean Bennett; her husband of 65 years, Dick Hathaway in 2009 and her son, Bill Hathaway in 2007.

She is survived by her sons Ken (Phyllis) Hathaway and John (Donna) Hathaway; her daughter Ann Black; daughter-in-law Shirley (Bill) Hathaway; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Inurnment for Dorothy will be at Spokane’s Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a date not yet determined.

We will miss her greatly.
