Avista to drop Spokane River flow Monday

From staff reports

Avista will reduce flows in the Spokane River on Monday to accommodate construction activities related to the Sullivan Road West Bridge project.

River flows will drop to 1,100 to 1,500 cubic feet per second below Post Falls Dam, allowing the bridge contractor to remove sandbags in the river. Flows will drop over a four to five hour period, in accordance with the dam’s federal operating license.

People recreating along the Spokane River should monitor flows by visiting avistautilities.com/waterflow.
