Obituary: Brammer, Donna Marie

Age 83

BRAMMER, Donna Marie Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Guardian Angel Homes in Liberty Lake, WA.

She was born in Pullman, WA on August 25, 1931, the eldest of three children to Osbourne and Gladys (Muller) Shaw.

The family later moved to Greenacres, WA where Donna graduated from Central Valley High School with the class of 1949.

She married Wesley Hulett on January 6, 1951.

This union produced two children, Susan Hughes (James) and Tom Hulett (Linda).

They later divorced and she married the love of her life, Dennis Brammer, on June 11, 1976.

Dennis brought two children, Beverly Teague and Dan Brammer, to this union.

Donna and Dennis loved nothing better than to be on the road in their RV.

They were long time members of the Elks and went on many trips with them and other friends.

They always had a well-loved little dog that accompanied them on all of their travels.

From the time that Donna was a new bride until well past her 70th year she seemed to always find an older person who needed help and companionship.

She was a loyal and unselfish caregiver, whether it was for a neighbor or a resident of Good Samaritan Village, where she worked for 20 years.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, both parents and sister, Joanne.

Donna is survived by her sister, Jackie Reynolds (Pete), her and Dennis’s four children, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana St. Spokane, WA 99217 or SCRAPS 6815 E. Trent, Spokane Valley, WA 99212.

A service will be announced at a later date.
