Plum scores 20 as UW women defeat Oregon

Associated Press
SEATTLE – Kelsey Plum scored 20 points and Washington overwhelmed Oregon 70-55 on Sunday. Jazmine Davis had 15 points and Talia Walton added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies. Washington (18-6, 7-5 Pac-12) fairly dominated the first half, and Plum led the way with 12 points as the Huskies built a 38-29 advantage. It could have been worse had it not been for Oregon’s Jillian Alleyne, who scored 15 points and grabbed 13 boards before intermission, her 20th double-double of the season. Oregon (11-12, 4-8) had trouble finding shots for Alleyne in the second half though, as she added just four more points and finished with 19 points and 19 boards. The Ducks trimmed the deficit to four midway through the second half, but Walton completed a three-point play, followed by another by Aminah Williams and a jumper from Davis to push the lead to 12. Oregon went 7:15 of the second without a basket.
