Area men: North Idaho holds off Eastern Utah

Braian Angola scored a game-high 22 points, Kyle Guice added 10 points and 10 rebounds, and North Idaho (16-5, 3-4 Scenic West Athletic Conference) snapped a three-game losing streak Thursday by defeating visiting Eastern Utah 70-64.

Three Golden Eagles scored 12 points apiece.

Men’s wrestling

North Idaho 41, Highline 6: The Cardinals (9-2, 5-1) won nine of 10 matches, including victories from local wrestlers Tyler McLean (Mead) and Michael Ngyuen (Post Falls), while defeating host Highline at Des Moines, Washington. Ngyuen defeated Brian Alonzo in a 10-3 decision.
