Spokane police looking for armed robbery suspect

Spokane police are investigating an armed robbery today at a Subway restaurant in north Spokane. The suspect entered just before 3:15 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from a clerk, then fled westbound on foot with an undisclosed sum, police Cpl. Glenn Bartlett said. The suspect is described as white, in his mid-30s, about 6 feet tall, and of medium to heavy build. He wore a white athletic-style long-sleeve shirt, white baseball cap, sunglasses and blue jean shorts. The robbery happened in the 5000 block of N. Division Street. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
