Obituary: Taylor, Elmor Lee

TAYLOR, Elmor Lee (Age 83) Elmor Lee Taylor was born May 8, 1932 to Glen and Mary Taylor in Tekamah, Nebraska.

He joined the Navy on his 18th birthday in 1950, and then joined the Army completing his duty in 1956.

He met Bonnie Jackson in Kansas City, Missouri and they were married in August 1963.

Elmor and Bonnie had four children.

He was a great father and grandfather, had a funny sense of humor, and loved his family and grandchildren very much.

His granddaughters will always remember when he would “kiss their ponytails”.

Elmor is survived by his children, Stella (Lloyd) Free, Jinny (Kittipong) Kongchunji, Glen Taylor, and Dorothy Taylor; nine grandchildren, Kyra, Thai, Joseph, Cameron, Bonnie, Keith, Kurt, Kaci, and Brandon, and three great-grandchildren, Hazli, Lou Lou, and Colton.

Elmor is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, his sister Dorothy Janssen and brother Dick Taylor.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 1pm at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe.

Interment will be at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery.
