Okanogan tops NWC 37-10 in State 2B semifinal

Okanogan racked up 397 rushing yards and beat Northwest Christian 37-10 in a State 2B semifinal football game Saturday at Lions Field in Moses Lake.

Greyson Fields ran for a game-high 131 yards on 13 carries and scored two touchdowns and Clay Ashworth added 85 rushing yards and three scores.

Okanogan, last year’s state champions, scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to seal it.

Ethan Perriah scored the Crusaders’ lone touchdown on a 1-yard plunge in the second quarter. He finished with 57 yards on 20 carries. NWC’s Nathan Sander gained 82 yards on the ground and added six catches and 64 receiving yards.

The Crusaders finished with a 10-3 record. Okanogan will play Napavine in the title game next Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.
